The son of a friend of mine died yesterday. He got into a car accident after he had a fight with his girlfriend and drank too much. Skidded to avoid another car and went right through a guard rail. Wasn't wearing his seat belt.

He was a few years younger than I am. I went to grade school with him and his older sister. Now his family is devastated and his girlfriend is a fucking mess.

I'll never forget that phone call. I keep waiting to wake up and find it was all a dream. I'm still in shock. I don't know what to do.
